We thought a spray can would be sufficient for a car at first, but it actually needs about 3 cans to cover all major metallic surface of the undercarriage. so Kenny used some CarQuest brand undercoating spray after the 3M spray that we brought ran out.
You can easily tell the difference between these 2 brands just by looking at their colors and textures. it seemed very obvious that 3M undercoating has much better quality than CarQuest brand. 3M undercoated surface is much darker but yet still maintain a nice smooth mat texture on the surface. 3M undercoating costs 3 times more than CarQuest brand when it comes to price, but comparing to what you will normally get from one salty winter, 25 bucks for 3 cans will last at least 2 more winters. if you look it that way, it ain't that much. you get more out of what you paid for. A very nice looking and protected undercarriage.
